On the 19th of May one of our nurses Jessica braved the cold, rough terrain of a 16km obstacle course called Tough Mudder. This course was one of the toughest races she had ever encountered, being beaten, battered, scratched by barbed wire, electric shocked, and plummeted into ice pools with no way out other than to swim under submerged planks of wood. After 4 hours of pain and 26 obstacles, she made it across the finish line feeling proud and accomplished... as well as freezing cold with immense body aches from shivering and a torn muscle she’d picked up along the way. Needless to say, she’d do it all again next year! Well done Jess, we are proud of your achievement!
